ZVV Redesign
About

This project focuses on the redesign of the interface found on ticketing machines in Switzerland. Through an iterative, research-driven process, an existing interface was recreated with the input and feedback from various users. The goal is to increase clarity and align the interface's functionality with users’ needs.

Process

The ZVV ticketing machines can be difficult to navigate, particularly for tourists or users preferring physical tickets. To better understand user behavior, we observed people interacting with the machines at train stations, gathering insights on pain points and real-world interactions. This research, combined with surveys and qualitative interviews, informed the creation of user journeys and personas. We iterated on features and designs to address the key problems identified, with particular focus on giving users a clear understanding of their journey and the zones their tickets cover.
